about

FIRST OFF - WARNING - These are extremely raw rehearsal recordings and are only being offered here as a historical record.....

This download includes all extant rehearsal recordings, and photos/flyers from the one gig.

The following was a high school era band that was formed by Mark Chastain and Scott (aka Dino) Everett in 1982. Mark already played guitar so I was going to be the bass player and Mark took me down to the shop and helped me put money down to order a bass which was a Fender Bullet bass Serial number 000112 as they hadn't even hit the market yet. Mark also knew the Glover brothers (Paul and Craig) through a work connection, and as they were from the UK (Oldham) we felt we had real punk credibility. Our claim to fame(?) is that we were easily the first band in the world to cover a GG Allin song because he was a friend of mine from NH (which is where I moved to Orlando from) and the only person I knew with a record out. I was still obsessed with the Sex Pistols at the time which explains most of the song choices. The recordings were made on a small 1/4 inch reel to reel that I had, and in theory were in stereo. However, those tapes are gone and this was transferred off an old cassette. We practiced mainly in the Glovers' garage which would be where these were recorded. We played one show on June 2nd at Colonial High School and all the picture I have are included as bonus items. We had 2 originals songs, Evil Dead which was the first song I ever wrote, and I wrote it before even seeing the movie. I read an article in Fangoria and knew this was going to be a good one. The other was written by myself and Paul Glover called Good For Me, which was later recorded by Noise For The Needy. Dino Everett May 2023
